The Flourish Project exists to equip young people to develop a healthy self-esteem, mental and emotional well-being. It is done by helping young people learn to create helpful thinking pattern and growth mindsets, and to begin to recognise and set goals for the future.

1 in 10 children and young people aged 5-16 years old have clinically diagnosable mental problems. The statistics paint a picture of a generation increasingly struggling with mental and emotional health resulting in anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicide.

There can be no doubt that the last two years has been very challenging for so many young people... The work undertaken by Leanne Seal from Kings Church has been invaluable in supporting a number of our S1 and S2 pupils as we move towards what is the ‘new normal’

Programme Structure

Our programme is run as 1-hour sessions by a trained facilitator, over 8 weeks, and is targeted towards 9-16 year-olds.

The programme is best suited to be delivered in small groups of up to 10 young people.

To extend additional support and impact for young people we have just launched a further 3 follow up sessions for up to 6 months after the project.
